Join the LGA and local author Noah Chirnomas on a unique new Floating Classroom experience!
Noah Chirnomas is the author of the recently published book The Islands of Lake George: Exploring the History and Mysteries, which reveals the rich history of the 125 named islands on the Lake.
Aboard the Lake George Association's Floating Classroom, Noah will lead a narrated tour through the Narrows, sharing stories, historic photographs and fascinating folklore about the Lake's islands. Along the way, he'll also discuss the conservation efforts that help protect these special places. Books will be available for purchase and signing following the program.
Noah spent three years researching for this book, poring through archives at museums, libraries and private collections in an effort to piece together the long-forgotten history of the lake’s beautiful islands. He is also the author of Dome Island: Forever Wild on Lake George.
These special tours will be held on July 21st and August 13th, from 1:00PM-3:00PM, taking off from Roger's Memorial Park in Bolton Landing.
