Aging and failing septic systems are one of the leading contributors to the nutrient loading in Lake George that leads to increased algae growth and, potentially, harmful algal blooms.
Warren County and New York State want to help. The County has been awarded $635,000 in state assistance to fund septic system improvement projects at properties within 250 feet of Lake George. Property owners are eligible for grants of up to 50% project funding or as much as $10,000. Click here to learn more and apply for a grant.
