The Lake George Association will host the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) September Networking Event and After Business Mixer on Thursday, September 11^th from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at Ti Arts Downtown Gallery. 

Lake George, NY (August 22, 2025) – The Lake George Association (LGA) played a leading role in Albany on Thursday as conversations on road salt use and its impact intensified. LGA Executive Director Dr. Brendan Wiltse was interviewed on Spectrum News’ Capital Tonight, while Lake George Waterkeeper Chris Navitsky participated in a New York State Assembly Roundtable on road salt, hosted by Transportation, Health and Environmental Conservation Committee Chairs.  

The LGA's Lake George Waterkeeper, Chris Navitsky, PE, was invited to provide comments on Thursday, August 21, 2025 to a New York State Assembly Committee Roundtable discussion on the use and impact of road salt. 

The LGA will host the 10^th Annual Adirondack Champlain Regional Salt Summit on Wednesday, September 24 at the Fort William Henry in Lake George, celebrating a decade of leadership in reducing road salt pollution and protecting clean water. Since its launch in 2015, the Salt Summit has become a leading regional forum for education, collaboration and innovative solutions to combat road salt overuse.  

The LGA is entering a period of exciting growth and transformation, adding two key senior leadership positions – Chief Financial & Operating Officer (CFOO) and Chief of Staff – to help guide the organization through its next chapter of protecting Lake George with science, solutions, advocacy and action.e

At the Adirondack Council's 50th Anniversary on July 19, 2025 in Silver Bay, the Lake George Association was recognized and awarded as an Adirondack Legacy Leader.  

The Lake George Association (LGA) is seeking volunteers to take part in its annual Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Monitoring Weekend, taking place August 8–10. This lake-wide search effort is open to everyone and is designed to help identify invasive species before they can become a major problem for the Lake George watershed.

As beaches on nearby Lake Champlain continue to close due to harmful algal blooms (HABs), the message for Lake George is clear: what’s happening there could happen here, unless we remain vigilant.

The New York State legislative session has officially wrapped — and while we didn’t get the final result we fought for this time around, we’re energized by the momentum we’ve helped build, and we remain firmly committed to the long road ahead.
