The 2026 New York State Salt Summit, presented by the Times Union, on October 8th, is a trusted, science-based convening advancing practical solutions to reduce road salt impacts on freshwater resources across New York.
The Salt Summit, held at the Crowne Plaza Albany - the Desmond Hotel by IHG, serves to address the issues posed by road salt use as a policy-adjacent forum focused on real-world implementation centered on collaboration between public agencies, scientists, the general public and industry professionals.
