LGA Summer Gala Auction Items: Bid to Protect Lake George!

Here’s a great opportunity to protect Lake George – and reward yourself at the same time.

The 2022 LGA Summer Gala will feature a live auction headlined by a rare 1929 Chris-Craft Cadet wooden boat and including a veritable treasure chest of other great items (see details below).

Tickets for the Saturday, July 23, event at The Festival Commons at Charles R. Wood Park in Lake George Village are sold out. Item #1: Paddleboard and Water Carpet Fun Package

Your days on the Lake will be more fun than ever, by George, when you roll out your new water carpet or hop aboard your new stand-up paddleboard. This 18’ x 6’ foam water carpet holds up to six people and is ideal for running, jumping or simply lounging in the sun. The O’Brien Camano stand-up paddleboard is rugged, durable, highly stable and easy to paddle, and comes complete with an adventure paddle specially designed for beginners and those who tend to be a little rough on gear. The memories are waiting, this summer and for years to come.

Menzie's Dinner

Item #2: Intimate Lake George Cocktail Cruise and Dinner

6 guests will spend an evening with Captain Blair Keller and Chef Pete Menzies (and their first mate/sous chef) on an entertaining cocktail cruise aboard the St. Louis and a best of the Adirondacks dinner at Chez Menzies overlooking Northwest Bay and Tongue Mountain.

Hop aboard the majestic St. Louis at the Menzies home in Northwest Bay for a cruise that highlights the history of this extraordinary vessel while enjoying a few of Captain Keller’s signature cocktails.

Upon return to the Menzies' home, you’ll be greeted at the dock with hors d’oeuvres and led up to the screened-in dining room where Chef Pete will serve you a multi-course dinner featuring the "Best of the Adirondacks." This locally sourced, casual but elegant meal is sure to delight.

Item #5: 1929 Chris-Craft Cadet Wooden Boat

This classic and rare 22-foot, triple-cockpit boat, christened “The Laker,” features a six-foot beam and is equipped with the original 1929 Chrysler Imperial 100-horsepower, straight-6 engine and all original parts. “The Laker” is in perfect running condition and is a two-time winner of the “Most Original Lake George Boat” award at the Lake George Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous. See more details and photos.

Item #6: Steamboat Company Private Dinner Party for 20 on the Lac du St. Sacrement 

Join your guests on the Lac du St. Sacrement, where you will have exclusive entry to the 2nd floor foredeck for a private dinner party for 20.
